It was an extreme over reach and you can see why it garnered complaints, especially when it started getting posted out of context back on the old place but he could have also mocked the whole balance thing in a much less extreme/Clarkson-y way and not got the complaints

Wasn't that when he was on the One Show and mocking the BBC? Because before that he was talking about how the strikes were a good thing then said that comment 'because this is the BBC so I need to be balanced'. He's done a lot of things wrong in his time but that comment was tongue in cheek
