I do love NES games, the Souls series, and older PC RPGs but I grew up playing those when I had more time to learn them and less options to choose from.

That's not to say that they're poorly designed or anything, but they're a tough pill to swallow for people who are used to accessible and accomodating games.

There just isn't a big market, unfortunately. I think it's because most old-school arcade games are unfair, somewhat confusing, and repetitive by design so modern gamers like me don't really see the appeal outside of aesthetics.

FF7 Let The Battles Begin, P5 Last Suprise, The FFXIII one that I don't remember the name of, P3R It's Going Down Now, and Deltarune Rude Buster. All very basic picks, but I'm afraid you can't beat peak.

I've never used gadget but it sounds nice. I liked debug specifically because it just felt fun to use the same tools as the devs. It's kind of like a sneak peak into the development process. I love other games that include debug mode as a feature like Nier Automata and the classic Sonic games.

I unfortunately have to unfollow any artist who constantly reposts their work. I understand why they do it but I really don't want my feed filled with the same things every day.

Like I don't idolize any developers personally but Sakurai himself has said that Nintendo tried developing Smash without him it didn't turn out well.

You can acknowledge that an entire group of people are responsible for creating a game while still acknowledging that said game would be very different if not for one particular person. This applies more to some games than others, I think.

I loved the Horror Land one. It was very good from what I remember but I always thought the concept was cool. A theme park where the attractions just kill you lol. The actual story didn't really scare me but the concept did.

Thinking of doing the same. Smash is the only reason I still have my Switch and I've grown tired of it. None of the Switch 2 games that have come out or have been announced appeal to me. The most I can think is "Oh, that's neat."

I definitely plan on giving a shot one of these days. I don't have a GC/Wii/Wii U though and I'm in a financial position where spending $40 on a game I may or may not like is a big risk.

That's fair. I've never actually played any of the 3D Metroids, just the 2D ones so I don't really have any preconception of what I enjoy in a Prime game or what it should be like.
