They're a super useful tool, but so is a power drill, and I've seen people break fingers from not understanding that they're doing with them.

Yeah, the first couple nice days every spring I see retirees who haven't ridden in decades on brand-new ebikes. Great, except for the ones who don't realize they have the reflexes of a 75 year old on a bike that can casually go 30km/h on a MUP and stack it on the first shady wet corner.

It's expensive and in Canada, but I hope you find your way up to BC for the ferries. I've been wanting for years to do Port Hardy -> Prince Rupert -> Haida Gwaii.

Whoa this is sick, your gameboy camera trichromes were cool but I *always* have a thermal printer cam in my bag, I need to do some of this!

I sure hope so, it's slow change but the best way to make the trades more accepting is to get more of us in there.

Saints Row 3 had this as the demo, just the character creator as a standalone executable.

Of course you can pick up people from the airport, the problem is you can't take them there because they never invented dropoff trucks

Oh yeah, scrolled down and saw them, that whips

I've never tried trichrome on any of my especially shitty cameras, it does some really fantastic glitchy effects with grainy film so I bet it would do something cool with the gameboy cam sensor.

I woke up this morning realizing I was maybe conflating memories of hearing the "Cars 4 Kids" ads on american radio + the local "Kirmac Cares for Kids" glass company ads that ran on CKNW when I was a kid.

Grew up around a lot of talk radio, I think I heard ads for them on AM980 or whatever else the adults in my life listened to here 20+ years ago? I definitely could be misremembering.

I've been appreciating the shots on the 2003 camera, I've made an artistic point of leaning into the imperfections of CCD-era cameras and 70s-80s glass and I always got a kick out of people on IG posting like "Whoa, I shot this car on a decade old camera!" when my account pre-dated their "old" gear.
