2025 salamander sanctuary getting crowded. Our cats hunt them ferociously. All three of these were injured (one abdominal laceration, two de-tailed), so we’ll try nursing them back to health.

I’ve given away her last bag of dog food to the local humane society. The large dog toys still sit in a lonely tote, ignored by the tiny Pomeranians that carry on without their sister dog. Most days I still lose significant time in thought about Dixie. I miss her very much. Spring was our favorite.

I’ve been obsessing over a monument the past couple weeks - one that stands just blocks away from where I live. I take photos of it often. This was the first time I took to rebranding the former North Christian Church. It was energy sparked by newfound church planting optimism here in Columbus.

Kudos to Toyota for this map interface. It works 75% of the time, seemingly in conflict with Apple CarPlay the other times. On the console, feels native.

One of our original 1970s Andersen windows that was broken by a vandal shortly after we moved in got replaced today. Lost 300 square inches of glass in choosing a modern replacement. I miss the immense depth of the original case windows, plus this smaller window feel will take some getting used to.

Trying the new Hefeweizen from Hog Molly Brewing tonight. Bananas Foster inspired “Combine Fallout.” Sweeter than most hefs, it earns that dessert name.

Former North Christian Church by Eero Saarinen in my current hometown of Columbus, Indiana. This steeple lost its cross last year thanks to some local politics and the library owns the building now. It still commands so much attention from blocks and even miles away.
