My husband visited a tire installation place and car dealership yesterday. Both were dead and employees verified sales are super slow. In South Florida. Nobody wants to spend money because they don’t know what’s next.

Those of us hoping for the midterms to save us have to realize there is no guarantee of any real election. If these measures succeed, we are forever stuck in this hellscape. We must donate to any legal fund out there helping to fight.

No. Three Republican senators — Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Susan Collins of Maine and Rand Paul of Kentucky — joined all Democrats in voting against it.

Native Floridian here. Used to love the New Yorkers that came to Florida. They were real liberals who voted that way. New Yorkers that move here now keep making our state worse and add to the congestion and tax phobia that keeps everything underfunded and overwhelmed.

I blame this on voters who elected someone that tried to overthrow our government and had many felony convictions and was a known pathological liar, but they still believed he would lower the price of eggs.

I agree that was a huge red flag. But I live in Florida and I saw the Al Gore election happen so we are used to elections that are nightmares.

I’m still not sure. The level of misogyny is under the surface and some people don’t even realize that’s what has driven them against their own interests.
