You're not far off: The frontrunner dude is there to scout ahead and sabotage things enough so when the vamps arrive, they can slaughter to their hearts content. The language bit is purely for the movie, they speak plain ass English in the comic and only reference another, Vampiric language.

Wouldn't call it a comeback album since there was nothing really to come back from, but the change in drummers to Travis Scott certainly signalled a new chapter so it's probably hair splitting.
