I've avoided fusing so far, also. Cortisone will be regulated to not overwhelm and turn off your glands production of it's own adrenaline. But, it has been very affective at reducing inflammation of the nerves. Chuck had one shot 6 months ago and has done very well since! Me, too.

Yesterday I was very anxious. Constant pain changes a person. I think you may understand that. I get anxious. Mnging meds, trying to keep my mobility, accepting my condition and working through it. Sorry you are going through that pain. There are several procedures available to relieve pain these days. Thankfully!! With little intrusion, they can remove a disc, too. I have been thru that and more. My brother, Chuck, one sister, and a friend of a friend. We share info to help each other.
