Of all the disappointing things to come about regarding Trump, this is what disturbs me most. Not Trump himself, but that our institutions and people in power, on whose goodwill we rely, failed to step in when they could have to stop him. And they continue to stand by idly while the world burns…

It’s been a while since the last speaking filibuster, but is it possible for someone else to take his place when he can’t go on, or does that break the chain and end the filibuster? By the way, I appreciate what Senator Booker is doing, but imagine if this had been done on 3/14 contesting the CR.

I thought the 1st paragraph on page 2 hit the nail on the head. Trump has always pushed the lie that immigrants in general are “bad” people. Judge Chen recognizes this as a primary reason for the EO, then observes that the “undisputed record” establishes just the opposite. Well drafted + powerful.

…all Democratic Senators on the committee to give their time to a single Senator who is better equipped to handle questioning and follow up? Would be far more revealing, impactful, and effective. 🙏
