I really wanted us to show the Nekomancer using their magic for other actions, so what better than a magic number!

This is also the one countdown post where resurrected-ghosts can be seen, which I thought was important

If only we remembered it was national cat day when we posted😭

I struggled to come up with a fitting "2" theming for this, so we thought having a change of pace: with the Nekomancer getting to relax would be nice :3

Getting the smear-frame "3" was added last, with a warped number 3 in photoshop. The Knight has VERY stubby arms, so that swing pose was quite difficult to capture

Seeing Knight in action is a nice treat, they make a good team

Yeah so this idea was the easiest to come up with LMAO

The team wanted to do the "four" pose for a while, & this was the first design for the countdown we had, so we just had to fill in the other days.

The added transparency on the frog was a nice touch :)

Hello Journalist! As he's the the NPC who writes, who better to be judging!

Getting the "path" to look good was a bit hard, cause black blended in a lot, but I like the subtle look in the final

Though, Nekomancer prolly deserves a higher score tbh...

The "6" being the lettuce of the burger was a bit of a stretch, but a burger for the "Greed" floor felt fitting :3

The original idea of the enraged-smoke forming a "7" was difficult to translate...

Floor 8: Lust. This design was pretty simple, & is something players do a lot! Running in circles can be fun :)

We had to make a custom VFX in engine to get the dust-trail that didn't fade, but it turned out well!

(also the sweat drop added a lot lol)

So I start off this list with the one we ended up not making😭

Floor 9 is a very [SPOILER] part of the game, so the idea was to have the art be more "broad"

However, turning Nekomancer into a nerd emoji was too many new assets, so they check watch instead🤭
