He’s always managed to get the most out of the weird puzzle he’s been handed. It seems like it’s usually around January that something clicks. So I’m cautiously optimistic.

In general I don’t put too much stock in any team’s record or performances before Christmas. ~70% of the season remaining and you can’t predict trades/injuries.

But something we know is when the effort level is there, the defense is not only good, but elite. That passes the eye test too

Hmm, a month of *best in the league and it ain’t close* defense is the mirage but the one blowout loss is the real deal. Yeah that checks out.
