Just some lady
@bigblueplanet.bsky.social
Lover of democracy and a free world.
She blocked me. Always a sign of weakness.

The point was grace for people who cannot afford to heat their homes. I am done here.

Couldn’t agree with this more.

But today, we are where we are. And Dem members of Congress can do nothing determinative to fight against the maps proposed by Rs in IN.

Welp, here we go.

Indiana GOP is going for it: They've released a proposed map that'd likely lock in a 9-0 GOP congressional delegation & flip the 2 currently held by Dems. Indianapolis would be cracked into GOP seats, and Gary would be drowned in red.

The big question: Will the Senate still stop it?
The Indiana House has released a proposed new congressional map.

This is a state matter. Nationals have zero role.

That’s the difference between you and the lady above - you give grace, which is my entire point. Have a good day.

There’s a conflict resolution project in my city focused on political polarization, run by a group of social workers. I learn a lot there and have made some new connections. If Ds are going to overcome our electoral disadvantage, it’s counter productive to point fingers at 2.8 million voters.
December 1, 2025 at 1:58 PM
My view is that most voters are Independents & we have to flip a whole lot them. So it’s about having an open mind and not shunning whole groups of people by saying “oh well their state voted w Trump.”
December 1, 2025 at 1:52 PM
My point is not how others vote. It’s to push back on bashing whole states bc they went for Trump & people w/o compassion for 10,000s (inc Harris voters) who can’t heat their homes sufficiently this winter. I also think of children & elderly who will suffer bc of politics. That isn’t defensive

Yes, we all take action in a lot of ways. Demographers, pollsters and organizers study all of your great questions. From my perspective, all any single person can do to impact election results is contribute and volunteer. MI is a largely rural state but we’re purple & have some good electeds

Had to block a nasty person which I really try not to do.

Another mathematician who lives in a perfect state.

Trump is a tragedy for us all. Bad things unrelated to the way you live your life can befall you. I wouldn’t thumb my nose at you if you were my neighbor.
December 1, 2025 at 5:08 AM
I block very rude people like you.
December 1, 2025 at 5:00 AM
You don’t strike me as rational. The issue is persuading Independent voters, not your petty insults.
December 1, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Didn’t Ohio vote Trump? I wouldn’t wish bad things for the people there. To win elections, we must flip Independents who voted for Trump which means we have to talk to people we don’t always agree with. Not MAGA, the getable voters. And I guess it’s old fashioned now but I try to be nice to people.

2.7 million, like I said. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Assholes all over Bluesky tonight.

I vote NO
December 1, 2025 at 4:07 AM
2.7 million in Mich voted for Kamala.

Nice. Another Karen who blames whole states. 😏
