Not sure how that can be used as an excuse considering DJ, Z, and Thiero were with him at UK. So it’s not completely from scratch. This is basically the same team he would’ve had at UK had he stayed.

Brooks was more of a sure thing. He was already a star in WBB. Just took VA Tech to the Final Four last year.
