No one I’ve asked seems to have any idea where the line is. Seems like if the defenders are still forward it might still count as recycled service territory. It’s a tricky one for sure.

Does that second Merino goal count as a set piece in statistics? What’s the cutoff for counting it as a set piece or open play? Does it come down to whether the defenders have moved back to their positions? How is this factored?

Does Lee Dixon feel the need to be anti-Arsenal in every ref decision so he doesn’t seem biased or something? He seems to think nothing is ever a foul or pen against us. Why can’t we have a former player fighting for us in the media? Why does he need to argue every call against us?

Knee to knee did occur before the contact on the ball. It’s a PK. Either way, it’s not a clear and obvious error. We’ve been screwed again.

Does he always have to put so much power into the shot? Is there a finesse finish in his bag? I understand power when you go far post for a possible parried rebound, as was nearly the case, but sometimes it just feels like power isn’t the answer and that seems like all of his shots.

Eze should’ve been on much earlier. Not sure this was the right day for Max. Noni looked good. Major stock falling for Martinelli’s attack. He remains solid defensively but his offense is nowhere to be found. Zubi.. Not sure what I think today. Tired of needing data to know if someone is good.

Not a pen. He had no chance of knowing that ball would hit his arm. This is not what PKs are for. The ref wasn’t not the issue today.

Same conversation taking place at my house. It’s like he doesn’t want to seem biased so he makes it a point to talk bad about us while sucking off Salah and the entire Liverpool team.
