I forgot to reply, partly because I'm a poser and I find the big name im-sims (Prey 2017, Dishonored 2 etc) more fun than a lot of the indies. Ctr Alt Ego is a really fun indie though, a bit ugly but super unique gaming experience.
Gloomwood is unfinished and better known but also I love it!

As somebody who is really into immersive sims, this game seemingly only has a fanbase because of fanart of the main character. The actual design of the game is super esoteric and hard to approach so if you turn the lesbians away idk who is getting your game 😭

Yes, for sure! Big Channels were manually running metrics on thumbnail changes before those could be automated as well.
Here's what it looks like behind the scenes btw - you can have one title and a/b test 3 thumbs, 1 thumb and test 3 titles, or test 3 title+thumbnail combinations.

No no, Title A/B testing got added like a month or so ago. Very very fresh compared to thumbnails, which have had widespread A/B testing for a few years now.

Discoverability is a lot better on YouTube videos so once you've cracked the code you just get on with making the videos. People trying to primarily stream have to work a lot harder to get noticed, so I imagine they're in that headspace more

I've heard this, but not often. Usually i see this idea phrased as though it's the belief of a handful of older politicians, I've never seen it proposed as being widely held by the population

The steam sales changed from the old format like 10 years ago. That's when people started complaining about the sales being worse.... It's not a new thing reacting to the current economy, it's been a while!
