Let us remember today those who fought for the freedoms that so many take for granted. We must remain vigilant to ensure our essential freedom are not eroded again. I pay special tribute to my father who bravely served the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. Lest we forget. 🇨🇦

FAX technology actually dates back to the Second World War. Interesting article in one of the 1946 Saturday Evening Posts I have in my collection about the new technology and suggests it would fit with that other new tech of the era - FM Radio - as a transmission method rather than phone lines.

Before there was podcasting as a side hustle for many celebrities, and before TV became common place, there was radio. This ad from a 1946 edition of the Saturday Evening Post I have in my collection shows a number of celebrities with successful acting careers who also had radio shows.
