Started the year off making shokupan (Japanese milk bread). Whole place smells like brioche, and that’s not a bad thing

Present me saw past me on eBay, so I bought it.

A reminder that for all the difficulties past me faced at that time, present me is damn grateful for the way everything turned out, while noting future me should put a pin in this and remember to stay in that place of gratitude.

Fired up the Vince Guaraldi, pulled the small Charlie Brown-esque tree out to decorate, and proofed a couple loaves of bread.

Grateful for the words of wisdom from gathered family to create new traditions in place of things that may make the holidays tough.
