If you count BL and short format series, then you can go up to fall of 2017 with Dies Irae and Taishou Mebiusline (and Code:Realize, Dynamic Chord and Sengoku Night Blood, but those were all-ages otome adaptations, not eroge)

Okay wow that is a huge price-up compared to the Japanese release (which is 5800/6380 yen depending on the tax, or in other words £30/£33, $40/$44, while still a bit expensive for a game that doesn't seem to have much content it is still more reasonable for sure)

just out of curiosity what do you find, as a new player, especially striking in it nowadays
don't get me wrong i love the game and its sequel (singular) to bits as well but i've seen many people bouncing out of it since the remasters released

Blackshard is a gorgeous "explore the megastructure" type of game, mixing the brutalist architecture of the genre with a lot of other artistic influences, combined with a fantastic music and, well, let's just say releasing last month didn't help store.steampowered.com/app/3223390/...
Of note is that you can't remove the parry/dodge mechanic (only the QTEs when attacking), and even in the easiest difficulty getting the timing right might not be that easy for a lot of players. You will probably be able to survive the main quest, but the optional content requires mastery over this
