I loved it. Jacob Elordi played the best Monster. 😭 like a baby. It will surely win awards.

I taught myself Finspan!
October 27, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Have you read this?

Played Finspan f/ the 1st time today- played solo w/out the Nautoma b/c I wasn’t interested in it. Instead, I just played BYOS, scoring -2 per card w/ the group icon per one of the designers.

I’m a big fan of explicit rulesets & while I thought this one was pretty good, I still found a 🧵🪡

I went to Target to buy myself a present after doing a difficult thing & this was staring me in the face so I bought it. 25% off & a $15 gift card = 😁. I intent to play solo without the bot- just beat your own high score. I’m pretty sure there’s a way to do that just by removing some of the cards.

Made this some 20 years ago during my metalsmithing phase. Sawn/stamped/domed sterling sheet with a wire wrapped natural ruby. I’d primarily worked with cold connections as opposed to using a torch.

I’m up to 55k views on the TedX Talk I gave a while ago. Whee! Truth be told, this wasn’t exactly the talk I wanted to give. It didn’t really need to lean into spirituality but that’s more who I was at the time, and how the talk was subsequently developed under the guidance of the mentoring team.

Love Uno! But my brain won’t let me play it without the words! Grateful they made a zillion copies and that eBay exists.

I LOVE the COIN system developed by Volko Ruhnke. My fav’s would be Cuba Libre, Colonial Twilight, and Fire in the Lake. Outside of COIN, Pax Pamir 2e by Cole Wherle is fantastic.

A musician friend of mine used small cases like this to vend CDs and DVDs. I’ve also used one myself for Zines and packs of postcards. Sometimes things would shuffle around a bit inside but mostly it was just put it on the table, open, and good to go.

I bought some rocks today. Can you guess what they are?

Done! It took me less time to fold it than to figure out how to make it flex. 🤦‍♀️ I need to try another one that’s larger and with heavier paper. It’s too fiddly at this size.

I made my first flexagon book (aka “infinity book”) using my own art. Sound on to hear me talk about it. #artistbook #bookarts #mixedmediaart

Made this mixed media collage art as a personal reminder to soften my jaw, neck, shoulders, thoughts, words, etc. It’s painted papers, gel printed papers, colored pencil and artist crayons on Masonite.

I scanned the word into Procreate to clean it up then printed/traced/cut it out.

Gate w/ Gates expansion by Jason Glover. Been a while since I played it & had to relearn it. I dislike learning games and will frequently play a newly learned game many times until I get sick of it then rarely play it again. This is a good game but the rules could be clearer. #sologamer

Who is your all-time favorite movie villain? I’ll go first: Ben Wade in 3:10 to Yuma. (2007)

From the show BJ & the Bear back in the Stone Age.

Bought some candy today. Am thinking there might be something wrong with me. 🤣 PS: The big Smarties are the best!

Made a second batch of 2x3” collages using my own hand carved stamps and painted papers. Am up to 27 of these. Thinking about what type of game I could create with them.

Ever play any of Shadi Torbey’s games? I think a lot about how I could make games out of the art I make- like with this painting as a game board and little stamped pieces.
