La Familia es Todo

In my experience, no one in power is innocent
Your thoughts on the meta?

As mentioned previously; Pocket has become a high roll greedy format. Because of that, decks have to do 1 of 3 things.

1. Be immune to EX’s

2. Disrupte the Game Plan(red card mars)

3. One shot(or 2 shot) Big EX’s

If you cannot do these things, you are not competing

Lugia over Dragonite EX?

Pocket has become a very greedy format with a ton of rare candy High Roll decks. The main weakness? Pokemon that can one shot. I want to one shot a stage 2 with a basic as consistently as possible.

3.1 Zeaora?

Zeaora is very much a win more card. You can go full casino Ho-oh and try to win slots, but if you don’t open it, the card does nothing. You have to run it for a chance at Oricorio. I fully believe you run 2 in Ho-Oh Dragonite, and that’s it.

Cont. 70/20/10 because it is really hard to win a match up where 98% of your deck does nothing. And the 10 is just hitting 30 turns and drawing.

2. Why not 2 Pichu?

Right now, this is my biggest contention with the deck. I am
Fully considering running 2 pichu AND the Magby. Magby helps with getting Ho-Oh going. Pichu is better because it can also power up zeaora, which comes up with the Oricorio match up. Oricorio is really a 70/20/10 Cont

1. Only one Dawn?

Truthfully, Dawn is awful in this deck. You have to run it because it gets your Ho-Oh going. Reality sinks when you realize you can draw unplayable hands like 1 baby 2 dawn and Leaf.

4. Attaman?

Sometimes your Dialga is weak in the back line , and needs to survive a hit so you can win. It is the only tech I have under review.

3. But mew tho?

Yes, you need an answer to Pokemon that can one shot you. Infernape, Charizard, rampardos, another Arceus. The rare mewtwo. To name a few examples.

2. 2 Dawn?

Sometimes you need to swing, and you don’t have an Arceus to swing with. You power up your shaymin and you swing 100 turn 3 with dawn+energy attach, and you put instant pressure on your opponent.

1. Mew and both the Shaymins?

100%, and for a very simple reason:
Dialga needs more stuff to ramp. Because of point 2.

Will be posting other decks throughout the week.

3. Baby mewtwo?

100% you need baby mewtwo. He’s a big basic that doesn’t give two prizes and he 1 shots pikachu. You can’t get better value off of one card.

2. Cont.

I will say, the more consistent this game becomes, the worse red card becomes. This is a 20 card deck format, that guarantees you open a Pokemon. When we get more search, red card gets cut from every deck.
December 3, 2024 at 9:12 AM
2. No red card?

Red card is only good in two decks, maybe 3. 18 card articuno, Charizard, and Dragonite

Red card buys you time against stage 2 decks maybe, but against pikachu, or any fast water deck, you aren’t getting any advantage at all. Maximize your consistency, not your edge.

1. why the Snorlax?

The #1 thing this deck needs is time. I was previously on 2 Meowth, but that really only buys you a turn for a card draw. Is Meowth a throw? No, I do think they are very good. Snorlax, however, is permission for you to set up. He will give you at least 3 turns, which is enough.
