Former is my first name lately. Former DNC Vice Chair, Former MD Dem State Chair, Former Chair of JWi and JCPA, Former Interior Designer, Political fundraiser and Hill COS. Not sure what’s next.
I’m not a DNC officer anymore so I can have a position - I’m frustrated and wish we had more courage and strength like @vanhollen.senate.gov and less hand-wringing. Do I think Pelosi is “still effective” - Absolutely! No one is tougher.

Agree- He is a talent. Hogg did not run saying vote for me and I will invest $20 million to primary candidates. If he would have said that he wouldn’t be Vice Chair.

Absolutely multi-faceted approach - I’m one of the 50 state strategy advocates - but if you are a DNC officer you direct your efforts to make that happen - you don’t attempt to defeat Democrats you decide are “too old”.

You are conflating the issue. David is an elected DNC Officer Congress picks their own Leaders. The actual DNC members are local activists from across the country and abroad and in 2025 the new DNC officers elected are the youngest and most diverse ever. They were expected to be on the same team.

It absolutely was a perfect example. None of us are happy - we lost - but defeating people because David Hogg decides to invest money that could go to defeat Republicans isn’t what a DNC Officer should be doing.

Of course you need a multi-level approach - but pick seats that will gain a majority instead of throwing money into solid Democratic seats.

I might have actually voted for David. I campaigned with him in 2018 when I was on the most progressive ticket MD had ever seen. So don’t make assumptions. Being a DNC Officer comes with responsibilities and limits and he’s thumbed his nose at a key requisite-neutrality.

They aren’t Vice Chairs of the Democratic Party. He was elected to strengthen the Party not personally decide who is an asset or not. If he wanted to build his organization more power to him, but not as a DNC Vice Chair.

As a former DNC Vice Chair - I can say with authority - Tulsi was also the first!

That is Chris’ typical voice.
