I think about this every day—my former library colleagues, MLIS students trying to learn to teach, those who have left the profession. So much to navigate, personally, professionally, institutionally…

The clinic/facility may provide you with one—even when I’ve come prepared, they make me swap to one of theirs. Hope it all goes well!

Huge loss—and so many undergrads would take classes in that dept that helped grow their thinking across disciplines. Not to mention the wealth of library resources on folklore relied on by researchers everywhere

Yup, just like being told that the handsy systems librarian “was harmless” and that nothing could be done. So glad we’ve made some progress since those days!

New — Institute of Museum and Library Sciences employees were allowed back in the building this morning to gather belongings after all being put on admin leave by DOGE yesterday. Supporters have gathered in front of the building and staffers inside have posted a visible sign that says "SOS IMLS."
