There's a lot of artists in the k-pop industry, and there's zero chance we'd keep up with all the labelers a project like this needs. So we chose to use the bot's DM ability to give you a private way to manage your biases and ults.

[FAQ] Why do I have to "Like" the labeler?
It's two things. Liking the labeler helps more people see it in external tools, but we also use the "like" action as the trigger to open up a DM to you from the labeler for setting your bias and ult.

[FAQ] Why do I need to "follow" the labeler?
Not everyone keeps their DMs open on Bluesky. Following the labeler ensures that the DM can reach you. Otherwise you won't be able to interact with the bot and set your bias and ult.

The decision to use DMs also means that we'll be able to add other functionality beyond just being a labeler. Some ideas include /suggest to find another moot, /comeback for the details on the latest comeback, or just having quick access to your fav's recent M/Vs.

This is also why you need to follow the labeler. If you have your DMs restricted (and most people do), following the bot allows us to send you a DM when you like the labeler.
Without that, you'd need to message the labeler yourself to start the setup process.
