What legislation, with republican votes, will compel the Administration to use warrants to arrest Americans? To re-enforce Congress's control over tariffs? To stop the actions of DHS in Minnesota?

What legislation gets these goals that Republicans will vote for and survive a veto?

What legislation have they passed? What legislation will pass currently?

I understand that, but the Democrats must use what leverage they have to affect change. Only putting forth legislation that the Republicans will approve is not using their leverage, and will not meaningfully accomplish policy goals

Republicans did not vote to extend subsidies, either, and now those subsidies are expiring once Dems voted to reopen the government.

Republicans will not compromise their principles and vote against the admin's agenda. Dems must either block spending until Reps relent or be a rubber stamp

There is a time when even restricting a great evil is too much, because that evil has shown itself immune to restrictions. This is that time. Any Dem who votes to restrict rather than remove these weapons of government does not understand the times in which we are living.

Okay, so let's just use this math. 15.64 over one year is $5,708.60. For one person. For a family of 4, that's $22,834.40. Just for food. No childcare, no healthcare, no rent. That's the same as making $11 an hour, 40/week, 52 weeks a year.

Use their math. It's still not sustainable.

the leaders of the civil rights era could not propose or veto legislation. they had no "power." but they had legitimacy because they were out there. Letter from a Birmingham Jail was written...FROM JAIL. But with these guys "Hey it's crazy right now and we can't do much, but give us money." LOL ok.
