Ben Thomas showing the textbook definition of a straight red card.

It shouldn’t matter if there is contact or not.
I’m more on board with the idea of a 20 minute red card knowing that a permanent red card still has its place.

For me, some yellows should be 20 minute reds, not reds being downgraded to 20 minutes.

Dan Kelly is very good at rugby. I’m not sure Munster fans realise just how good he is yet.

So Connacht’s backline now consists of 2 scrumhalves, 3 outhalves, another player who played outhalf all the way up to the pros, and Hugh Gavin whose best position is also up in the air.

Is Henry McErlean injured?

I’ve seen enough, Big Bob is fit. Get him back into the senior Ireland squad

This Ireland A squad is highly confusing to me.

In some instances, its the presumed next man up - Shayne Bolton, Tom Stewart, Michael Milne, Harry Byrne etc; but then there's no Coombes/Aungier/Jager?

In others, its guys who may have promising futures - Usanov, Evan O'Connell; but no Hugh Gavin?

Its been a while since I’ve seen SA twitter go off on one like they are with this Wessels ban.

Ireland squad announcement on Wednesday will be interesting. I think its a bit early tbh. There's only been 2.5 games in the URC so far, and most Lions haven't played yet. Announce it on Sunday and Leinster v Munster has that much more edge to it.

Ireland/Leinster are better off using the 22 jersey for a different position if they continue to refuse to take Prendergast off before 70 minutes.

Another year, another yellow card to a tier 2 team for an “offense” that no tier 1 team would ever get a card for.

It would have to be another disallowed try to decide it. Not the first time for Connacht
Strap in for another Connacht basketball match.

The team with the most possession will end up with the win #STOvCON

Its amazing how often Connacht are both so good and so bad in a five minute period

Max Deegan and Jimmy O’Brien have been very good. Fintan Gunne and Tommy O’Brien also good. The others less so

When do we start talking about whether Santi C is worth the big money?

Andrew Smith is a proper player.

Last placed finish for Ireland U20s who lost more Six Nations games this year than they did between March 2018 and June 2024. (Just two lost games between 2019 and 2024 is remarkable, and 3 in 2018)

New Pod🎙️ Ireland v Italy PREVIEW ☘️

Ireland's Grand dreams evaporated last week, but will we see the rebuild of their confidence begin in Rome, or will the Azzurri leave them in ashes?

How in the world did Ireland u20s win that on the handicap (+12)?
March 7, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Should we ask off the ball how many players need to be binned for France U20s for Ireland U20s to finally score?

Two games in a row, I’ve been impressed with Rory McGuire.

Any chance John Cooney heads south to complete the quadfecta?

Tommy O'Brien looked like he was trying too hard to make things happen, and played with a chaotic desperation that hampered his performance. Probably a result of his injuries. His time will come, and should benefit from the outing.
Bolton showed good pace, and work ethic. Daly wasnt on long
