The second set of images we're looking at is sceneries. I've picked two kinds in this, one with people and one without. /23

And lastly let's talk about book cover descriptions! 

I have written a more detailed thread for this over here which I'd recommend checking out, but essentially don't just say the title and author and describe the cover. /30

Next let's talk about what to do when there are multiple people in the image! In instances like this, we should start by looking at the 'why' and think why are all of these people together and what purpose it solves. /28

Let's start off with short descriptions of 1-5 sentences, which are intended to convey what the images say in brief. These are often used while describing animals. In these cases not all 5 of the W's may apply. /21

5. What if I forget to add #AltText? 

To ensure that you don't forget to add image descriptions, you can go to the settings and turn on the 'require alt text on images' feature, which will remind you before posting an image and ensure that all have descriptions. /7

4. How to add AltText on BlueSky? 

BlueSky has an option to add these image descriptions through AltText. For doing so, when you upload an image to this platform, you get an option to add the AltText at the top left corner. Once you click on this you can add a thousand character description. /6
