Starliners approach to @Space_Station provided a great photo opportunity for the @esa #Columbus module with STP-H7 and @ASIM_Payload on the exposed platform. @ASIM_Payload has been observing electromagnetic discharges in the upper atmosphere since Apr. 2018 and is still going 💪

#OTD in 1989 the first image of a #sprite was captured. Published by Franz et al in 1990 https://bit.ly/2YxvAs8. Today these beautiful giant lightning events are being hunted and investigated on ground and from space. See @PaulMSmithPhoto, @scott_currens and @ASIM_Payload.

After two days of commissioning on @ASIM_Payload, #MMIA and #MXGS instruments are now upgraded and in nominal operations. Better sensitivity and better time accuracy is now in place. Hope scientists will be happy 🌩️. @esaspaceflight @Terma_Global @Busoc_official

Flotte billeder af @ASIM_Payload ⚡️ monteret på Columbus. Credit: NASA. Taget af eksternt kamera på @Space_Station den 19./20. oktober 2018. I min branche er det sjældent man får lov at nyde billeder af mange års arbejde efter opsendelse. En af fordelene ved at arbejde med ISS.

The Delta II rocket has launched for the last time on September 15, 2018. Total of 156 launches with a success rate of 99%, one of them the first Danish satellite, Ørsted, launched February 23, 1999. Impressive engineering and a job well done.
