Agreed, but their is scientific proof why these fires spread so fast--"the fire & wind akin to the water & wind of a hurricane, or the snow & wind to a blizzard (paraphrasing)."

I like this composition & immediately noticed that this image might work upside down as well.

What do you think?
An upside-down color photograph of the hood of a gray car with the reflection of the street signs and street lamp on the hood. A fun, interesting upside-down photo-- the white line on the side of the road and the dotted white lines in the middle of the road look interesting upside-down as the upside-down car is going around a bend. The trees at the bottom of the image almost look like reflections in a pond or a lake.

Always wanted to tell you that I've had Yesterday & Today's 1st album since '80. Got it at a record fair in Asbury Park. The cover reminded me of VH's 1st album. I loved that album!!
Rock group Yesterday And Today's first studio album. On the cover is a stylized photograph of the four members of the band: guitarist playing a brown stained natural wood finish Gibson Flying V; bass player playing what looks like a Fender Bass that's white; another guitarist whose guitar is not quite visible, and a drummer only holding drum sticks. If there was any doubt that this photo was taken in the mid 1970s (there's not!), his navy blue shorts with the white ringer hem scream 1970s. Note: Yesterday And Today later shortened their name to "Y & T".

I'm so grateful I got live to see what a true humanitarian President looks like.🙏❤️

(BTW: Yesterday morning, while researching 3 specific nuclear accidents, I learned that, in 1952, while in the Navy, President Carter helped clean up NRX in Canada.

I didn't know he was a nuclear energy specialist.)

WHY?

1) Because Musk, unhappy with his body, went under the knife to look like a real "man's man", yet hates his transgender child because they don't feel comfortable in their body.

2) Because Maybe-it's-Maybelline Vance hates trans folks but wears more black eyeliner than me in HS in the 80s.

My aunt drove me 3/4 mile from my mom's house to Greystone so I cld take a photo of the building where Woody stayed from '56-'61 right before it was knocked down

What a storied past-- all of it true.

A daytime color photograph of a building at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital taken from the front seat of a car through a phone camera in 2015. Due to the photographer having to recline 45° in the front seat of the car, the building's architectural perspective is even more askew than normal; the building appears to be leaning backward. There is a road leading up to the building that veers off to the right on front of the building. The main building is five stories high with a forest green dome on top. There are four story high buildings in either side of the main building that are an extention of this main building. The buildings were made with sand colored bricks that have been blackened in some places from the weather, dirt and grime, and wear and tear. The sky behind the buildings is baby blue with wispy clouds. This building is both famous and infamous. It is infamous because of the horrors that went on in Greystone Park. (Note from photographer: Relatives and an former coworker, worked at Greystone in the 1960s-1970s. The stories of abuse of patients are true.) This building is famous because Woody Guthrie stayed in this building at Greystone from 1956-1961. This building was located on a road a 1/4 mile from the main Greystone Park Hospital; this building was on the same street where the main doctors lived. When Woody Guthrie's family would visit, he was brought to a different building with nice decor and nicely painted rooms, compared to the old, backward l unkempt room where Guthrie lived. One day, Guthrie's family visited without notice, saw his living conditions, and moved him back to NY to live out the rest of his days. It should be noted that the five story high building at the center of this photograph has some beautiful architecture features, some inspired by Islamic Architecture and also some inspired by Gothic Architecture.

I was told off in a big for calling him President Musk. I explained that I lived in Manhattan for years; 'had seen 45 in action at T Tower, & the reason I was doing it was because I knew the only way to get Musk out of our politics was to go after 45's ego.

I've been saying for years that the easiest way to the U.S. is to walk thru Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, & Panama.
At the canal walk east, jump into the Caribbean Sea & swim north. Keep flutter kicking thru the Gulf of Mexico until you reach New Orleans.

This is the building at Greystone Mental Institution where Woody Guthrie lived for several years in late 50s- early 60s. Bob Dylan visited him here.

This building was torn down (thank goodness; the horrors that went on inside) shortly after I took this photo- 10 yrs ago.

(Note: My father lived across the street from Washington Headquarters when he was a kid. Eminent domain caused his family to lose their home due to Rt. 287 going through his hometown of Morristown.) The road in this photo is lit up with golden tungsten lights from the street lights that are throwing glowing warm light onto the pavement. This contrasts nicely with the deep royal blue sky and red tail lights from the cars up ahead. The trees on the sides of the roads show movement, as the speed of the car being faster than the shutter speed of the camera, making them look like they're dancing. A royal blue sky, just past twilight time in the evening. Photograph taken from camera phone from the point of view of the passenger. Therec is a train station out of frame to the left; the car is heading towards a train underpass. There is a train visible on the track above the underpass and an old train building to the right that, from the front, looks like a smiling face. George Washington lived about five minutes away from this area in the Ford Mansion, soon to be called Washington Headquarters, in 1779-1780. His army lived about 15 minutes south in Jockey Hollow. (Note: How those men slept in those tiny log cabins with four bunk beds with no cushions, just straw, and no fireplaces. The snow in that area was particularly brutal the winter of 1779-1780.) The high schoolers in Morristown are called the "Colonials" in honor of the Revolutionary War army. Again, a color photograph taken with a phone camera just after twilight. The photo taken from the point of view of the passenger. On the horizon, the sky is a light shade of baby blue, that fades into a deeper royal blue, and finally a lighter shade of midnight blue at the top edge of the photo. Three stars can be seen in the photo. The car is going up a small hill towards "The Green" in Morristown. This is where George Washington and his Army stayed at Arnold's Tavern in 1777, during the Revolutionary War. In the photo, there is a cacophony of headlights coming down the top of the hill towards the car with the passenger taking the photo. There are red tail lights at the top of the hill. These are all shimmering and refracting light off the windshield and the lens because the camera lens is pointed right at the lights. There are for sets of headlights with beams of lights being thrown diagonally at almost a 45° angle to the right at the top and to the left at the bottom. The red tail lights in front of the car are also throwing red beams of light in the same direction. There is a large tree in the upper righthand side of the photo. There is an old brick office building to the left. Make a right before that building and you'll be in the vicinity where Arnold's Tavern was located in 1777; 1779-1780. There's an old Baptist church steeple on the left side behind the brick building; they are on the East side of The Green, a square piece of land in the middle of Morristown. (Note: My Great Great Uncle Henry H. Davis carved The Civil War Soldiers Monument and other statues on The Green. They were dedicated on 1871.) On the right side of the photo, to the right of the tree trunk, you can partially see the Presbyterian Church where George Washington was said to have taken Communion. Who knows? It is rumored that behind the church are buried many soldiers from Washington's Army. This is a photo at nighttime taken from the point of view from the passenger's side of the car. This is a street scene with lights refracting everywhere: On the left side are two green street lights and two yellow lights each with two beams of refracted light creating four large stars of light. So beautiful! In front of the vehicle is a car with red tail lights, two green street lights, a yellow street light-- creating five beams of lights going up into the sky-- beyond the top of the frame of the photo. Incidently to the left is the train station where Bob Dylan rode from New York City, got off at this train station, and walked on the road about 1½ miles west, to visit Woody Guthrie at Graystone Mental Institution where, unfortunately, he stayed in the late 1950s and early 1960s. There is a Snowflake Light hanging on the right side of the street above the sidewalk in honor of the holiday season. There's another one up in the distance. This entire county is filled with enough history to fill 100 books. I know, my friend Jimmy owns at least that many. If Jimmy was to drive straight for a mile we'd be at the house where the Morse Code was invented.
