I don't believe company executives are competent enough to consistently re-invest their earnings at a higher IRR. Chances are, they'll just waste the money instead. I address this issue here: www.bhagwad.com/blog/2023/pe... .

Often the problem is cultural, rather than a real, tangible one.
Let's say, tomorrow, all Palestinians magically became French, and all Israelis became Dutch. Do you think there would still be conflict between the two areas?
Sometimes people just need to let go of ancient history.

It's moving more and more in that direction. I've studied quite a bit about economics and finance, and I have come to realize a fundamental truth:
*The rich get richer and the poor get poorer*
This is independent of capitalism/communism, monarchy/democracy, whatever.
It's a universal law.

It's moving more and more in that direction. I've studied quite a bit about economics and finance, and I have come to realize a fundamental truth:

Thanks :) . As I mention in the post, even though my wife and I had saved enough for a cash buy, I ALSO got lucky with a half-million inheritance this year, which gave us the confidence to sink everything we'd saved so far into a house.
Probably wouldn't have done it without that chunk of change.

I mean, no matter how reprehensible you think he is, it's hard for me to imagine that he was literally asking for children to be exterminated. I don't think any politician is that actively evil. Despite what we might feel, they're not demonic.
