In his podcast episode about the radicalization of Debra Messing, Matt Bernstein said he & his friend call this “grains of sand” when Messing crashes out and posts a million IG stories 😂 I think about it all the time now.

They were quiet this whole time letting us think they were reasonable people when actually they’re fervent Christian nationalists who just don’t post it on Facebook.

I am thinking about the trans kids at home watching their parents rejoice and their relatives take victory laps on social media. I am thinking about the mental health crises they will experience and those who will not make it to the other side because some adults decided theology trumps flourishing.

Gemma loves it. It’s silly and doesn’t teach her anything but it makes her laugh and I figure that’s allowed 🤷🏻‍♀️ We watch it on Saturday mornings and try to prioritize educational content during the week.
