On the technical side of things, I always appreciate when a blog has an RSS feed I can subscribe to. I’m a big fan of Markdown and if all your blog posts are Markdown, you can avoid most platform or vendor lock in.

Devcontainers as long as they have Docker installed. There’s also good integration with GitHub Codespaces.
