On the technical side of things, I always appreciate when a blog has an RSS feed I can subscribe to. I’m a big fan of Markdown and if all your blog posts are Markdown, you can avoid most platform or vendor lock in.

uv does a lot of things but rig can help manage R versions: github.com/r-lib/rig.

I would also make sure you're installing binaries and not building R packages from source:
