On the pragmatic end of the libertarian scale, would say classical liberal in most matters. Science, beer, philosophy, good food and company. IT and Information Security professional, been in IT since paper tape was still (just about) a thing.
The amount of interesting that may ensue is probably increasing exponentially right now. End times? Foothills of the singularity? WW3? New dark ages? The Jackpot?

I go and see him play about once a year still, so I think that counts! ;-)

What went on inside the black boxes was what I needed to know. Plus the only things with transparent cases when I was a kid were anniversary clocks. ;-) Everything else was wrapped in Bakelite or wood!

KCD2 until the wedding, then decided on a break to do KCD1 to get the full backstory, then the second act of KCD2, which I’m about 80% through. Nothing else serious played in months!

I just impulse-bought it based in the thread. Though I’m nowhere near my PC until 2nd Jan. I could do with some ‘easy’ after KCD1+2! ;-)

Out of their specialisms? Probably. AIs are gittin gud at writing stuff that passes as human to lots of humans at first glance. They’re not there yet but AI rollback Canute has wet ankles about now.

Congrats, you’ve raised a smart child who sees how humans behave, rather than how some of us wish humans would behave. :-/

The foothills of the singularity will likely get even gnarlier by Monday…

Always had to sit in the smoking section until they went away. Both my parents and then later my wife chain smoked. Never appealed to me but also never bothered me; was just normal. I was def in the minority as a non-smoker.

If I started with that, it’d soon be every wall in my house. And I’d still have cables & connectors covering all shelf space.

No thunder here (Tooting) but I walked into a restaurant over damp pavements and when I left an hour later the torrents running down the road were topping the kerbs and it was ankle deep in places!
