It’s like his hatred of Trump backs him accidentally into the correct position from time to time, and it’s a really good space for him.

This is rhetorical right?

There’s a reason the KFC double down came out in 2010.

I think a mix is good similar to Murderbot Diaries. I love that the novellas are like 150 pages that I can read in a night, but there are other longer ones I can dig deeper into.

Now that you mention it, it is interesting that my interests have kind of self categorized based on the audience I’m sharing them with.

Sports/video games on one side, reading/book collecting/gardening on the other side

Not that there isn’t overlap, but your mention of code switching makes sense

Just fyi, it sounds like Curious King are also going to do a version. I absolutely love their stuff (though it’s all very very pricey)

We’ve got to do a better job meeting people where they are rather than where we wish they were. I get that it’s easy to be a scold, and cathartic to say I told you so, but it’s not productive to actually finding our way out of this.

It’s so unbelievably over

I think it’s general resentment towards white collar workers. If I can’t work thought leadership jobs (science, academia, etc), no one should be able to. So let’s kill all those industries in exchange for hard on your body manufacturing as our primary industry.

You’re not wrong, but possibly temporarily avoiding the imminent destruction of the economy and getting headlines like “Trump Backs Down” are enough to give me 5 minutes of temporary relief.

We’re like two steps away from them stating the most masculine thing you can do is suck dick.

I’m not even thinking about 2028 yet. Trying to make sure we get fair and free 2026 midterms.

I was full defending the walman deal but woof this is rough
March 7, 2025 at 8:43 PM
I mean I’m not trying to say he isn’t good. But he’s a 29 year old with 250 career games who plays LD where we currently have ferarro, muk, on the team with Dickinson and Cags in the pipe, not to mention Schafer potentially in the draft.

I’m not sure he matches the current timeline anyway.
March 7, 2025 at 4:46 PM
And they have the cap space they can afford to over pay if needed. So I’m not sure it sets them back 2 years. Walman wasn’t the make or break piece for this team.
March 7, 2025 at 4:39 PM
We probably disagree slightly here, but I don’t think it’s impossible that the sharks win the lottery and we see both Schafer and Dickinson with the sharks. Maybe not probable, but at least possible. Still need a ton of help at RD, but I think there are trade options there.
March 7, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Yeah I just think it’s going to be tough to entice impact guys without showing you’re turning the corner.

Though Grier has at least shown this deadline that if you sign here he’ll still send you to a contender for a chance at a cup.
March 7, 2025 at 1:50 PM
Eh this team needs to start turning the corner next year, we’ll need actual players at some point.

My hope is this and the Dal pick individually get packaged for guys in the offseason and the sharks never actually make either pick.

I know it’s well intentioned but this is all I could think about when the first option is to sell it.

30 years of nothing is just a wild mischaracterization of the 15 years before they bottomed out. I get being tired of losing but expecting 3 kids under 20 to immediately fix everything isn’t rational. And wanting to speed the process up is how you end up Buffalo, which I have no desire to be.

Booooooooo
February 25, 2025 at 5:25 AM
I know. And I get why they aren’t/wont, but I’d love to see Cags get some run. And I know Guschin has mostly run his course in the org, but I’d rather see someone from that group over Goodrow.

And I get this is me speaking emotionally and by no means rationally after that loss haha
