...it's shortsighted in the extreme to eliminate any source of power out of hand, especially considering the increasing demands of AI data centers. The energy people forget that they're in the energy business, not the fossil fuel business. It's as if they want to fail.

Culture has become intermingled with politics. Indeed, for us culture IS politics. We have reached the point at which saying that "Mommie Dearest is one hell of a bore" is tantamount to saying "Trump is the greatest". I would like to be rid of this notion, but nothing I can find tells me otherwise.

It is especially important for me to conform to standards of queerdom in these dark times. If I raise the slightest objection to even the most absurd-seeming language or the tackiest cultural product associated with my culture as a gay white male, I am playing into the hands of the Trumpists.🧵

There are well-established standards in the gay culture to which I have been assigned by birth. If I take on anything other than what is expected of me as a gay white male from the NE US, I am guilty of cultural appropriation. I must conform to what everyone thinks I should do and think.🧵

It reeks of white privilege and colonialism. There is no frontier out there when I can be free. There is only the real world of my identity as a GWM, where I am subject to the eternal and irrefutable judgments of those around me, and must stay in my lane in order to be accepted by them.🧵
