It's been 2 days since we left. This is Maisie the moo-cat's first time without at least 1 of us home in the morning.
She has been hiding from Leslie until today when she allowed herself to be picked up and petted. She purred.

Cea has wanted the front door painted for a while. She was going to do a wood grain look.
She found out that it was more difficult than she thought.
Last week she picked a colour and I painted the door.
The colour is Beaten Earth from Coverdale Paint. They are a local Canadian company.

16 cups of diced tomatoes, 8 cups each of diced onions and bell peppers, 2 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of brown sugar, and some spices boiling on the stove.
3 litres of reduction to go for 7 500ml jars of chili sauce.

I’m canning strawberry jam this morning. The brown stool with the orange cat on it normally sits by a window.
I was using it while prepping the berries. I stood up for a few minutes and Ike reclaimed the stool.
The look says it all.

today's baking extravaganza results. the left 2 loaves have 1/3 whole wheat flour. The next 2 loaves are all white flour. All 4 have about 1/3 cup of hemp hearts.
The cob is white flour baked in the cool pottery my bro and his wife gifted to me.

The last Thursday of each month is seniors discount day. We buy enough food for all the cats for a month.
