It is the financialization of everything. Economists come up with an idea that sounds good and works “if guardrails”; real life profit driven entities hijack it to make $ “forget the guardrails” the society pays for it. Rinse, repeat.

So the country with the largest economy (for now), strongest military in world history, with the most advanced intelligence services is somehow helpless against some guy that has a made up meme department. Strange times.

Has the board of directors said anything? This not a market volatility price movement - the selling is in direct response to the worsening prospects of the co, due to CEO actions.
