Personal account, used for posts I consider too frivolous and silly for my main account -- though I may crosspost from time to time if it feels relevant.
Hot Random Guy showed up on #BeyondTheGates again. And he's almost as bad at being a clubhouse waiter as Leslie/Dana was.

Is it just wishful thinking?
Who is that Articulette reuniting with Anita?

It's 2025, and Universal still has a Waterworld show?
I guess they plan to keep it until the movie turns a profit.

Here's to another 30 years.

"Michael Culhane," I always get excited to see the CW Dynasty stand-outs shining again, but I will be REALLY ecstatic if you move into the opening credits of Beyond The Gates every day. (If they also create a role for former your costar Wakeema Hollis, that would be a bonus.)

"This river wasn't damned in a day."
Why was it damned at all? Which deadly sin did it commit? Sloth isn't really why they call it a "lazy river."

Okay, so Mindy Cohn's character at the sperm bank is saying "we have athletes, bankers," not "we have athlete spankers."
Though, as the meme girl says, "why not both?"

"How about a little Febreeze?"

I'm content that Soap Tropes include terrible names for characters -- I have some fun with that in my own soap opera novel -- but I do hate how often Falcon Crest's "Cookie" subjects my brain to bad memories of Limp Bizkit.

There are people who have amazing, long-lasting, nuanced careers, but in their resume is this one iconic role, and then you spend life shouting at Ox-Bow Incident for not crediting Margaret Hamilton, or Grace Zabriskie shows up on Knots Landing and you expect Richard to come back to dance for Laura.

I was so excited to see Bobbie Eakes had done a new "All My Children" reboot, only to realize that Pine Valley was probably not the "P-Valley" in question.

I come home after a long day, only to have #BeyondTheGates preempted by Beyond Racist Trump?

To the 170 million voters who didn't cast a meaningful ballot against Putin and Netanyahu's Best Friend, was it worth it? Is your life better, now that Trump has Made the Depression Great Again?

Tamara Tunie brightening the daytime reminds me of a happier era.

It wouldn't entirely break my heart if Peter Parros pays her a visit either.

Awww... In honor of Clifton Davis' new daytime drama, #BeyondTheGates, Catchy is showing a Sunday marathon of That's My Mama.

Not gonna lie. As someone who proudly calls the book I'm writing a soap opera on paper, #BeyondTheGates is giving me goosebumps. Two of my favorite ATWT talents? And Karla Mosley looks like she can rise to Lucci-level fame. The USA needs this show to succeed. I know I do.

Batman '66 has a collection of vehicles that include the Batmobile, Batcopter, and Batboat. There was also a Jokermobile. Catwoman had both the Kitty Car and, my personal preference, the Catillac. Batman and Batgirl both had motorcycles... It's a shame they couldn't've made one for The Minstrel.

I think I've seen "My Cousin Vinny" exactly once in my life before. Didn't get the hype. But I decided, decades later, to give it a second chance. I immediately disbelieved the premise of LA college kids driving to Alabama.

Then it's revealed, they're NYU kids transferring TO LA.
Now it's credible.

Watching a 1981 episode of "Evening At The Improv." Great lineup of comics. And Bill Maher. Almost half a century ago. Basically the same act. Half the jokes of the other comics. And a quarter of the laughs per joke.

I'll give this to him -- he understood what it takes to succeed in the USA.

Watching so many TV shows from the 70s, I often see a lot of stars before they catch their big break. Some are more recognizable than others.

For instance, I'm at the stage of my headcold where I couldn't remember which of Lloyd Bridges' son Todd is.

Sometimes, I go quite a while without having sexual fantasies about Drew Carey. And then I read a TV listing with the suggestive title, "The Price Is Right At Night..."

Once upon a time, Andrew Lloyd Webber got very very stoned while watching Logan's Run, and the rest is Broadway history.

It's still weird to see Basil Exposition skinny-dipping with Sister Julienne, but... What a fantastic way to explain Enthusiastic Consent. For all they know, they're the only two people outside the City Of Domes, and they're both naked, and Logan STILL recognizes her right to choose not to.
