Our Summer House has just been delivered – big thanks to Toff from Dunster House for dropping it off.

This is a big step forward for our outdoor space, and we can’t wait to get it built and in use… but we need a bit of help! Can you lend a hand? We’re looking for volunteers to help us build it 🛠️

Shout Out to Iain from Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter!

Iain kindly dropped off surplus dog food with us this week. Thanks to this generous gesture, we’re able to continue including much-needed pet food in our emergency food parcels — because furry family members deserve support too.

Last week, Helen and Dawn caught up with the brilliant team at Byker Community Trust.

Bijoli, their Community Engagement Officer, shared that she lives opposite us across the river, and sent over these gorgeous photos of BFE, taken from the south side of the Tyne!

As it’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we’re celebrating kind communities and the impact they have on our wellbeing.

Whether it’s sharing a smile, offering help, or just being there to listen, kindness brings us together and lifts us all.

𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗟 – 𝗪𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣

Our food bank stocks are running critically low right now. We’re incredibly grateful for the support so far, but we now only have enough supplies to last 1–2 weeks.

Without urgent donations, we’re at real risk of having to close our food bank.

The event followed the success of last year’s meal up in Acklington, with the aim of building a long-term network of support in Newcastle. The church provided a fantastic meal, and the evening had a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a give-as-you-please donation approach.
