The book Good to Great changed my thinking as a pastor.
But the little accompanying booklet, Good to Great and the Social Sectors, is a treasure trove.
It's 35 pages (!!!) and PACKED with great insights.
Absolutely essential if you're serving/leading in a non-profit/ministry setting.

It has been an honor and a joy to spend the last few days in Oxford participating in some multi-faith meetings.
Grateful for the opportunity to build bridges and work towards human flourishing.

Y’all, all is want is fifty acres with a house and a couple of stock tanks and a creek, some honey bees, a pickup truck, and a tractor. Is that so much?? 😂 (Went to the farm show today.)

Many years ago, I had the privilege of leading my first Houston neighbor to Christ. She visited from SC on Sunday.
My second Houston neighbor is now getting baptized and joined a young adult group at HNW last night.
God is good.

Saddened today to hear about the passing of former Houston mayor turned US Rep Sylvester Turner. He encouraged HNW and Crossover Bible Fellowship to care for the homeless and poor in August 2017, and we had the opportunity to pray for him.
We hope in the Resurrection.

One of my favorite parts of living in Houston is the annual trail rides that come from all over and converge downtown for the Rodeo. Saw one of them beside the highway today.

Just got this message from our Missions Minister. Each year for our Christmas Eve offering (The Big Give) we give away every penny we receive. This year we gave a portion to @unduemeddebt.bsky.social and they were able to pay off over $5 million in medical debt for over 4000 Houstonians! Amazing!!
