Yep, exactly. I have it mapped to Leaderkey + O for „open“, so it feels like being able to just say „Open GitHub“ regardless of which app is in the foreground

This is something I feel that good designers simply have an eye for, likely due to much more experience. I tend to try to stick to proven systems here and copy type scales from existing design systems.

3. Improve the visual hierarchy. Font sizes, font weights, stroke widths of icons, border or divider sizes, and spaces between elements seem a little all over the place.

2. Avoid gradients. To me, gradient-heavy designs tend to look dated. I've seen a lot of more modern designs simply use blurred shapes or layered gradients instead, but almost exclusively for backgrounds or illustrations.

How do you think the platforms will handle all the trash? Do you think users just don't care and will willingly consume all the AI slop? Genuinely interested to hear your perspective :)

The only positive thing I can think of is that if TikTok and Instagram get flooded with worthless generated content, maybe it will kill algorithmic feeds and reinstate chronological or at least follower only modes?
