Showing up isn’t enough. Writing about love, attachment, boundaries, and learning the difference between effort and capacity
Pinned
I’m writing about a relationship that didn’t work—and more importantly, what it showed me about myself.

Not in a “here’s what she did wrong” way.

More in a “here’s where I stayed when I should have listened to myself” way.
I realized I was spending a lot of energy trying to be easier to choose.

I hadn't stopped to ask whether I actually felt chosen.

I used to think showing up was the hardest part.

Lately I’ve been learning that knowing when to step back matters just as much - and it doesn’t come easily to me.

That realization shifted a lot for me.

I’m interested in writing about what happens when effort and patience aren’t enough — and what we can learn from the moments we stayed longer than we should have.

This is me trying to understand that more clearly.

One of the things I’m learning to be better about is recognizing that when someone shows you they can’t choose you or show up, that’s not a test for you to fight harder. It’s a sign to recognize your place and build a boundary to protect yourself.

Today, I choose to love myself more than someone who never truly valued me. I choose to love myself enough to know I am worth it. I choose to love myself enough to know I’m worthy of everything I want in this life.
