The work experience kids are great though. They're from a special education school, and it's great to see them coming out their shells. I've got them designing and developing their own boardgame, which I'll get manufactured locally and sell for them at the shop

I can absolutely sympathise with this!
I go into overdrive worrying about what kind of game they're used to, what tone they prefer, whether my combat will be fast and engaging enough for them, if they'll enjoy the npc interaction. . .
It's really held me back pushing One Shot Weekends at the shop.

We currently have 2 kids on work experience who come in weekly, and we are looking at setting up a youth gaming club. I did email all the schools in the area offering various support/ideas for gaming clubs, but none of them ever replied.
