Agree with you completely. Plus I was just underwhelmed with what little plot there actually was. I know we have both read better crafted storylines.

#13. Various short stories by H.P. Lovecraft. Liked “The Case of Charles Dexter Ward” and “The Tomb” the most. However there are disgusting and unavoidable racist themes throughout all of his works. I find myself unable to separate the work from the artist in this circumstance. Read during Feb.

Adding this one to my list! I finished “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” yesterday. I just started “The Haunting of Hill House”. I’m also reading “The Death of Democracy: Hitler’s Rise to Power and the Downfall of the Weimar Republic.”
