Page 20 of the comic PERFECT CHOIR BOY ABEL Panel 1: Peter walks into a room that looks like an archive room, where Sera and Emily are going through some papers. Peter says: "Good morning, Sera, Emily! How are you two? I haven't seen Abel at the square or choir practice lately." Panel 2: Sera responds with a calm smile: "Abel decided to take some time for himself and started following the advice I gave him about meditation and moderation." Panel 3: Peter looks radiant and excited. He places a hand on his chest, flapping his wings slightly. His eyes are wide open, and he blushes a little. He says: "Woah! What an example of endurance and discipline!" Panel 4: Emily smiles sweetly and says: "He even said he'll start conjuring his own food and other needs." Panel 5: Sera sighs with a somewhat condescending and paternalistic smile. Closing his eyes, he says: "Abel has finally listened to reason and is starting to act like a mature little man." Page 21 Panel 1: Everything is pitch black, with a speech bubble saying: "No more silly ideas about wanting to be FRIENDS with those disgusting sinners anymore." Panel 2: A wide shot reveals part of Abel’s room, almost completely dark. His bed, clothes, a table, some books, and a couple of plants are destroyed and vandalized—by Abel himself. He sits curled up in a fetal position, hugging his legs in front of a massive window that overlooks a starry sky. Abel’s wings are spread out, with many feathers ripped out and scattered across the room, stained with golden blood. His reflection in the glass shows how intensely he’s staring at himself—only one of his eyes is visible, glowing red with tears streaming down his face. Two long red horns extend from his head, and his halo looks far more erratic than usual.
