This was my #knitting project whilst I was in Cape Town, finally finished in Lagrasse, washed and ironed. I used my favourite bubble trouble pattern by Ute Nawratil in 4 ply cotton. It can be worn in 2 ways, using the collar either as a cowl or pulling it down over the shoulders to give a 50s feel.

I had a creative morning today where I was introduced to some other ideas for embroidery. The flower centre is a scrunched up piece of "waste" fabric that I would normally throw in the bin, but this is a much better thing to do with it! With my beloved French knots in the middle. #embroidery

I am in Woodstock (Cape Town) until mid March, on my annual buying trip. One of my goals is to perfect my basic basketry skills. Each Thursday I am learning from the best, Victoria and Lindewe, two local Xhosa weavers. I am as happy as a pig in the you-know-what.

Relaxing at Mum's in the UK for the holidays, obvs with a hand knitting project! Using this ultra-soft gradient yarn for a spiral design sweater with a ten-stitch blanket stitch. Fun!
