The Wallace and Gromit exhibition at Preston Harris Museum and Library is lovely. There's a lot about Nick Park and how he came to animation and a lot of original props and sets. I've always loved the films and their silliness (particularly Feathers!)

My latest read was Terry Pratchett's [Faust] Eric, on my ancient Kindle. The 9th Discworld novel, the return of our hapless antihero, Rincewind, and a visit to the underworld. This one is incredibly fast paced and a very light, enjoyable read.

I've just finished 'Storyland' by Amy Jeffs. A brilliant explanation of British folklore, with beautifully written tales and amazing woodcuts. The explanations behind the stories make it a gentle and thought provoking read. Find a copy and read, if you haven't already.

Met this lovely toad on a run last night. Their friend skittered back into the bushes but they stayed a while. Brilliant at camouflage.

My latest (re)read was book 8 of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, 'Guards! Guards!' The introduction of Vimes, the night watch, and more time spent with the Librarian and the Patrician. Marvellous, through and through.

I finished reading 'Social Creature' by Tara Isabella Burton. An interesting use of prolepsis and a well told story about the 00s party scene in New York. It was engaging throughout. I didn't like any of the characters, but I think that was the point.

After a terrible book that I won't name, I've read Terry Pratchett's, 'Pyramids'. This was the first of his Discworld novels I ever read. I loved everything about it. Still do. One of the standalones, and I would very much recommend it as an introduction.
