love gen z on the whole but if young people don’t stop claiming that “a price i don’t like for something i want but don’t need” is “predatory” or “a scam” i am going to start shaking my cane in an extremely threatening fashion

Grandkids came over. I made a ball out of grocery bags and tape. 1.0 had flaws. We learned about prototyping. 2.0 we switched from plastic to masking tape. By Bag Ball 3.0, we'd learned about scarcity of resources (tape) and planned obsolescence vs. ability to upgrade the original model.

What will happen when a hurricane wipes out a coastal Florida city, and no one has any warning?

The universe is continuing its lesson of pausing to do nothing in the face of urgency. I'm currently focused on letting go of the ego's need to ... just ... do ... something. What do you do when all you can do is wait?

Couldn't get logged in to IDEO's class portal on the plane home from TX. I'm a week late starting the Human Centered Strategy coursework. Listened to Ellen Grace O'Brian instead. Letting your soul stretch out... slowing down and doing nothing in the face of urgency. Oh, the irony. #kriyayoga

Me and my mom. She's almost 95. We showed samples of her handmade paper, and mine. And I walked visitors through making banana fiber paper at the SunCity Georgetown TX neighborhood art walk this weekend. The end to a fabulous week-long visit!

Visiting my mom. Ate too much chocolate. Made paper from the wrappers and some rinsed out used paper towels.
