Incidentally, she DIDN'T have an obstruction the first visit, it turned out she has intestinal cancer. But the cancer may have saved her with the foreign object by preventing it from passing out of her stomach into the intestines where they couldn't have removed it except by surgery. Silver lining?

WHICH WAS the rubber tip of the dinosaur shaped pill shooter FYI so be cautious with those! Maybe just don't use them. But anyway...

("high volume so they can charge less"?)
Last week I brought her back there for a swallowed foreign object and after unsuccessfully trying to induce vomiting they removed it by scope for about $1300 when the original vet had estimated $4k and proposed just waiting and hoping she passed the item.

Adopted in Feb - quit eating in March, ended up at primary vet Sat, driven to 24hr vet Sun, they were suspicious of an obstruction & had me drive her to a THIRD vet that would charge $3500 for the surgery 2nd vet would charge $5500 for, because of reasons I don't fully understand

May not be helpful now but might be worth asking your primary vet if they have a recommendation.

Also that the last note goes up vs down, it would sound more final if it went down (to the tonic?)
