The Panda who I bought for £9 turned out to be a 1950s Wendy Boston bear.
I removed the degraded rubber stuffing wearing a mask and put him in a gentle machine wash. New fibre fill, a little darning and a new nose and he is, as my friend Jenny said rebearthed. What a charming little fellow.

I bought a 'dead' teddy in a local antique shop and gave him new life. I need some black embroidery thread to redo his mouth and have ordered him a smart knitted cardy.

I have a "new" 2nd hand Chucky coming from America. He is the 24" one that I can't afford - or rather can't justify paying for new. I can sort his hair out. Husband said why do I want another one? I said well my dear, Charles Lee Ray is in them all, lol
