I lost one of my dearest friends two months ago to liver disease as she waited on the transplant list. Liver failure is a brutal way to die. Horrific. They are dooming these children to that potential future, or liver cancer. It makes me want to tear out my hair and rage.

50 hour workweek??? I worked for the fed govt for 30 years. As a senior manager, 10 hour days were light days. And even when I went home, I was checking email until bedtime. And worked at least 5 or 6 hrs every weekend getting caught up on things I couldn’t get done during the week. Not impressed.

There is an inaccuracy in this that needs to be pointed out. The director of the National Cancer Institute is a presidential appointee. This was established when the national Cancer act was passed during the Nixon administration. It is the sole Institute Directorship that has that distinction.

Sometimes I have to just just not watch the news for a couple of days at a time because my grief overwhelms me over all the terrible things that are happening and the institutions I can no longer respect. I’ve got to get the hell out of this country.

Can you please be more specific? I’m so worried about some of my friends there, but I don’t want to jeopardize them in any way. Everybody is very paranoid right now. When you say the people that answered data calls, what specific offices? And have all HR people been let go?

Nonsense. Laptop times out and you have to enter a code to get back in when you go back to your laptop. They’re gonna find out very quickly. The NIH people are not rule bound. It’s a different culture and people don’t walk around with their badges on all the time.

How are they going to police this for people that vote by mail? Or is that the next thing he’s going to do? An executive order that bans voting by mail?
