I wonder if he can spell “potato”?

If resisting was a group project, how might we go about it?

I want to learn more about fusion politics. I still want to vote Democrat esp since I’m in a very blue city, but putting the energy into candidates that are in a third party that can run as Dems could be useful.

…so they haven’t moved left as much as they already wanted things that are considered leftist.

I think what the base wants is ignored. There’s a flimsy facade that’s been constructed by politicians, a lot of the media, and special interests that they present as “what the base wants” b/c the real thing isn’t convenient for them.

Ever notice how often people will say “I don’t agree with AOC everything, but…”? No one agrees with anyone on everything but posters make sure to point it out when it comes to her.

You can’t enter a lot of places unless you’ve been vaccinated. Which means you can’t leave.

What if you were all of those?

Hi! It is overwhelming and that’s the point. It’s meant to demoralize you. That’s why there are bots saying this. It’s a possibility but stating it as a certainty makes it way more likely b/c it primes people to accept it and give up. History is long! Find inspiration in the fighters of the past. :)

Excuse me if I’m wrong but are you a Russian troll? B/c this is one of their tactics.

There’s a lot of sensitivity to being thought of as stupid within Trump’s voting demographic. I’m not being snarky.

True! And social studies being cut for STEM wasn’t helpful.

It’s just so frustratingly dumb that people suffer just so the synapses of basic bro power holders can get their jollies.

I also mean psychologically. Is there some sort of emotional void that gets temporarily filled by being cruel? I mean, yes, I guess that’s obvious. But I’m so curious about what is happening in people’s brains. Which parts are lighting up, so to speak.
February 17, 2025 at 2:42 PM
But I get your point. And history and social studies have been cut significantly in favor of STEM. Humanities are seen as superfluous.

We had quite a bit of it (I was in high school in the late 80s). Maybe it was regional? For example, we were told quite frequently that Hitler’s enablers foolishly thought they could control him. We did a lesson on propaganda in elem school where we made mobiles from magazines.

I’m Gen X and while 9/11 changed so many things, I noticed the anger on an everyday level with the rise of right wing talk radio. The Republican Revelation in 1994 and the idea that compromise is a losing strategy cemented has also done tremendous damage.

I don’t understand what she gets out of being horrible? Is there some fantastic benefit to being so morally broken?

It reminds me of how many people apparently never supported invading Iraq.

NGL, I still have my account. I’m curious if it is not great for business when someone purchases something and then cancels the order shortly afterward. If that was done on a massive scale with a specific Amazon produced product?

I keep thinking I’d like a spreadsheet of each little thing being dropped. When I organize things into a list it seems more manageable and gives my brain permission to step away and regroup.

I always think it’s so funny how Sinclair headquarters is this basic looking building. It’s in a pretty area, actually.

This new administration has suggested protests will be met with violence. Even if that doesn’t deter students, administrators might be taking measures to stop them.
